Linear ProLine
Linear ProLine is a solid wood ceiling solution with a wide range of possibilities. You can choose from broad range of system types, wood types, sizes and finishes. Your design and budget are our starting point. Together, we examine which solutions are the best fit. The system is a combination of high-quality solid wood parts and tailor-made suspension systems. Linear ProLine can be used in curved or arched shapes.
Description
Design and customisation
In the Linear ProLine, the solid wood parts are installed with the Derako suspension system. The fastening is invisible. A special clip and profile connection on the back allow for invisible installation. This creates an even appearance with smooth ceiling lines. Your design is our starting point. We’re happy to examine all the possibilities and offer you a tailor-made solution.
System description
Linear ProLine gives you the choice of three different system types, a wide range of sizes and twenty wood types. The solid wood parts are always equipped with acoustic non woven tissue and given a high-quality lacquer finish. The lengths of the parts are by default a mix of sizes (min. 900 mm). The length partly depends on the available wood material. During installation, the wooden parts are easily and seamlessly linked via a milled out tongue and groove connection on the upper edge. We also supply ProLine in equal lengths for specific projects. The non woven tissue is available in black, white or grey. More colours are available upon request.
Derako suspension system
Our suspension system consists of a profile equipped with special clips in a repeating pattern. During the production process, the clips are attached to the profile and delivered to the project location in the correct pattern size. You can opt for a fixed design or a 50% demountable design. In the demountable version, the wooden parts can easily be removed after installation and installations remain accessible. Nine standard pattern sizes are available for Linear ProLine. There are also special suspension systems for swimming pools and extremely humid spaces.
System versions
Linear ProLine is available in three versions.
Linear open system
The linear open ceiling system is an open joint system. You select the desired module of the suspension system and accompanying wood dimensions. The wooden parts are installed on the structural ceiling in a repeating pattern. This results in an even joint. The joint area is bridged by acoustic non woven tissue or Ultra Fiber (for outdoor use). This is attached to the back side of the wood during the production process. The Derako suspension system is as standard available in nine modules. The width of the wood varies from 63 mm to 185 mm depending on the wood type.
Linear multi-panel system
The linear multi-panel is also an open joint system. In this system, we produce the solid wood parts in various widths. The accompanying module size of the suspension system is determined in consultation. The wood is fastened to the structural ceiling in a repeating pattern during installation. The combination of a fixed joint size and various widths brings your ceiling to life. The joint area is covered with acoustic non woven tissue or Ultra Fiber (for outdoor use). This material is attached to the back side of the wood during the production process. As standard, the multi-panel system is available in three varying widths. You can apply two to five widths upon request.
Linear closed system
In the Linear closed ceiling system, the solid wood parts overlap. You can create a fully solid wood appearance without joints. The wood is fastened invisibly using the Derako suspension system. It is possible to profile the parts as a bead part. This gives the ceiling an extra effect. This system is less suitable for spaces in which acoustics play an important role.

Applications
The open Linear ProLine systems can be used as a suspended internal ceiling and suspended external ceiling under a canopy. For outdoor use, the wood is treated to withstand weather influences. We replace the acoustic non woven tissue with Ultra Fiber. Our advisors are happy to inform you about all the specifications and possibilities.
Derako systems are suitable for every building type. Due to their high resistance to fire and moisture, our systems can be safely used in healthcare, hospitality, education, public transport, recreation & leisure, retail and shopping centres, swimming pools and office buildings.
Bring nature inside
Wood has enormous added value for the perception, quality of space and economic value of a building. Building with wood is also very sustainable. Derako systems have been used in sustainable and circular projects by many architects, contractors and building companies. For example, at Schiphol Airport, Paris Charles de Gaulle airport, Delta Hospital Chirec, Wroclavia Shopping Center and Alexandra Hotel. For inspiration and more of our completed projects, see the referencesmenu item.

Wood finish
The solid wood parts can be produced with three finishes. As standard, the wood is planed. If you prefer a rough and robust appearance, you can opt for our fine-sawn or rough-sawn finish. We’re happy to help you determine the right finish for your project.
Lacquer finish
The solid wood parts are as standard given a high-quality lacquer finish that protects the wood. This non-film-forming finish prevents wood damage caused by moisture, dust and dirt. The finish penetrates deep into the wood, but the natural properties and structures are maintained. The lacquer system structure is tailored to the application. In addition to the standard transparent finish, a large number of colours are also available. Our machines can produce any desired colour.
Get creative with colours
Would you like a special colour palette or more colour expression? Derako has various solutions , such as multiple tones in a ceiling, striking colours or expressive contrasts with the neutral wood. Create your own style and unique appearance.
Fire safety
The fire safety of a building is to a large degree determined by the fire behaviour and fire reaction of the building materials used. Derako systems must meet the requirements for cladding/finishing materials.
For buildings with strict fire resistance requirements, we treat the wood with fire retardants. With this treatment, we ensure that the solid wood parts of the system meet the European standard EN 13501-1.

Acoustics
Acoustics are very important for the way people perceive a space. A space with good acoustic balance improves health, productivity, concentration, learning performance, communication and safety.
Due to its shape, processing and the natural properties of wood, Linear ProLine is sound-absorbing. Extra attenuation can be achieved by placing a sound-absorbing (sheet) material behind the systems. This extra attenuation creates a pleasant atmosphere, also in buildings where many people congregate at the same time.
